If you are looking for a laugh, to cheer on your favorite teams, or even get a fright, weekend events await you.

You can watch the Fresno Grizzlies with WWE legend Kurt Angle. And, if you’re in the mood to celebrate Halloween early, then the Hauntmare Expo might fill you with frights.

There’s also a series of tribute performances to greats like Selena, Fleetwood Mac, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

93.7 Kiss Country Summer Concert Series

On Thursday, the Rotary Amphitheatre at Woodward Park will host a general admission country music show featuring Chris Lane, Drew Baldridge, Ryan Larkins, and Caiden Wallace. The event, open to all ages, promises a lively country party.

Chris Lane, known for his chart-topping hits “Fix,” “I Don’t Know About You,” and “Big, Big Plans,” has seven singles on the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts.

Drew Baldridge, an independent artist, gained viral success with his hit “She’s Somebody’s Daughter,” marking his first Top 40 entry on the Billboard country charts.

Ryan Larkins, a Tennessee native, co-wrote “Someday It’ll All Make Sense,” a Grammy-nominated duet with Dolly Parton. He has also penned songs for Tim McGraw and Cody Johnson.

Caiden Wallace, a rising star from California, is building a growing fanbase through social media.

Fresno Grizzlies vs Modesto Nuts

The Fresno Grizzlies return to Chukchansi Park this weekend for a series against the Modesto Nuts, featuring a lineup of themed nights for fans of all ages.

Friday’s Stand Up to Cancer Night will focus on raising awareness and supporting cancer research, culminating in a fireworks display.

Saturday will be Pro Wrestling Night, with WWE legend and Olympian Kurt Angle signing autographs and taking photos with fans.

Sunday’s Chukchansi Heritage Night will honor the Picayune Rancheria of the Chukchansi Indians, celebrating their culture with a night of unity, respect, and baseball.

Around the Block: A Downtown Block Party Series

On Friday, downtown Fresno will come alive with Around the Block, a five-part block party series. The event will feature a diverse lineup of live music, delicious food, photo opportunities, special workshops, and various other activities.

For the first time, The Galleria and The Crescent restaurants will open their doors for dinner during the event. Attendees can also enjoy art exhibits, tango performances, yoga sessions, and live demonstrations. Raffles hosted by the Fresno Convention Center will add to the excitement. The festivities are free and family-friendly, offering fun for all ages.

Hauntmare Expo

The Hauntmare Expo, a convention dedicated to horror enthusiasts and the business of frightening attractions, will take place this Saturday and Sunday at the Fresno Fairgrounds. The event will feature over 200 vendors offering Halloween props, animatronics, masks, costumes, toys, and collectibles, as well as a variety of food options.

Attendees can explore two escape rooms, a rage room, and a spine-chilling VR Experience. The expo will also host celebrity appearances from horror legends and actors, who will be available for autographs and photo opportunities with fans.

Alfred Robles

Alfred Robles will have the crowd rolling with laughter this Saturday at the Visalia Fox Theatre.

He was the only comedian to be featured on all three seasons of “Stand-Up Revolution” on Comedy Central. He is currently on a worldwide tour with Gabriel Iglesias and was one of the first comedians to perform at Dodger Stadium alongside Iglesias. Alfred was also featured on “Mr. Iglesias” on Netflix, “Entre Nos” on HBO, and is currently working on his own hour special.

Central Valley Fuego FC is the region’s professional soccer team in USL League One and they’ll face Lexington Sporting Club at the Fresno State soccer stadium on Friday. The theme of the evening is Back to School Night and they’ll be giving away the Red Kit mini fridge at halftime.
