Nearly $9 million in Measure P arts grants are mired in “bureaucratic quicksand” as groups denied funding fight for a piece of the pie, The Munro Review reports.

And, two key members of the Parks, Recreation and Arts Commission propose that the commission give Measure P grants to six previously denied applicants.

Meanwhile, groups that received the green light wonder when they’ll receive their grants — and if their funding will be reduced.

Perhaps the situation will become clearer after the parks commission meets at 5:30 tonight for a meeting at Fresno City Hall.
