Clovis police say they apprehended three of the four suspects who carried out an armed robbery in the Target parking lot on Shaw Avenue early Monday evening.
The arrests came following a 20-mile pursuit in which the suspects’ vehicle crashed near an orchard east of Kerman, authorities said.
The suspects then fled on foot but three of them were captured with the assistance of the Fresno Sheriff’s helicopter and Fresno police.
The suspects allegedly stole the personal belongings of two adults before fleeing.
Loaded Firearms Recovered By Police
During a search of the suspects’ vehicle at the crash site, officers discovered a loaded assault rifle and handgun. The suspects have been identified as 20-year-old Jose Mitra Barrios and 18-year-old Abel Sanchez Martinez, both Madera residents, along with a juvenile suspect who was processed at the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center.

The trio faces charges including armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, evading law enforcement, and firearm-related offenses.
As of Tuesday morning, one suspect remains at large. No injuries were reported during the incident.
