The United Way Fresno and Madera Counties has launched a national search for a new president and CEO after the resignation of longtime chief Lindsay Fox.
A news release from the nonprofit credits Fox with “eight years of transformative leadership growing the organization in size, scope, impact and budget.” Fox said she was leaving to “pursue other endeavors serving Central Valley residents.”
The nonprofit’s board named Kyle B. Rahn, a longtime United Way executive in Texas, Nevada, and New York City, as the interim president and CEO.
Under Fox’s leadership, United Way shifted its focus from the immediate needs of the Valley’s most at-need residents to playing a more active role in addressing the structural and institutional issues that have kept those residents in generational cycles of poverty.
“Lindsay’s dynamic leadership over the past eight years has contributed to increased community collaboration and unprecedented growth for our organization. We are grateful for her tenure and leadership,” United Way board president Kirk Haynes said in the news release. “And we’re thankful for Kyle’s strategic leadership and expertise as we continue the search to fill the role of the next President and CEO of our organization.”
Two Executive Searches for United Way
The board has selected the recruiting firm Cooper Coleman to conduct a nationwide search for Fox’s permanent replacement. Interested parties can learn more about the job when it is posted at this link.
Cooper Coleman also is conducting the search for a new vice president of resource development for United Way Fresno and Madera Counties.
