Fresno police are searching for two suspects and trying to learn the motive in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Ethan Vang on Monday night.
Officers found a wounded Vang in the 700 block of East San Jose Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Emergency responders rendered aid to the victim, but he died at Saint Agnes Medical Center.
The shooting location was west of North First Avenue and north of East Shaw Avenue in the vicinity of Wolters Elementary School.
A 24-year-old man also was found with a grazing wound to his head. He was treated and released from Community Regional Medical Center.
Detectives Ask for Tips on This Homicide
According to a Fresno Police Department news release, detectives reviewed video surveillance and saw two people in dark clothing running from the scene.

Fresno PD said that this is the 26th homicide of 2023 in the city.
