2023 Profiles in Leadership Award recipient
MONTEREY – The California Agricultural Leadership Foundation (CALF) and the Ag Leadership Alumni Council have announced Randy Fiorini and Michael Frantz as the recipients of the 2023 Profiles in Leadership Award. The awards, which were presented on October 5 in Fresno, acknowledged the contributions of Ag Leadership Program alumni in various sectors including industry, community, business, government, education, and the environment.
CALF Board Chairman Mike Young expressed his delight at the recognition of the alumni’s efforts in making a significant impact in the agricultural sector. Fiorini and Frantz were lauded for their innovative solutions and partnerships.
Fiorini, a resident of Merced County and owner of Fiorini Ranch, was recognized for his leadership in establishing the Delta Stewardship Council (DSC) and the successful implementation of the Delta Plan. He expressed his gratitude for the honor, acknowledging the significance of his work in water policy.
Frantz, a Turlock Irrigation District (TID) board member and president of Frantz Wholesale Nursery LLC, was honored for his innovative contributions to the TID. He expressed his appreciation for the award, highlighting the importance of the Ag Leadership community in promoting positive outcomes for agriculture.
