California Republican Representative Kevin McCarthy has confirmed his intention to seek re-election in 2024, quashing rumors of his potential resignation.
McCarthy, who was recently removed from his position as Speaker, made it clear that he has no plans to step down from his role in the House.
Despite reports from Politico and CNN suggesting that McCarthy was contemplating an early exit, the congressman has firmly stated his commitment to continue his political career.
McCarthy represents the 20th District, which encompasses portions of the counties of Kern, Fresno, Tulare, and Kings.
