Tropical Storm Hilary wreaked havoc in Southern California on Sunday, setting a new precedent for rainfall in the region as reported by the National Weather Service. The intense downpour led to flooded roads, bloated rivers, and even instigated a landslide on the interstate. So far, it seems to have mostly left Fresno alone as it now moves towards Nevada according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters continue to warn of the risk of flash floods in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties and the possibility of further flooding in states to the north. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Franklin is currently affecting the Caribbean, with residents in Haiti and the Dominican Republic advised to prepare for potential floods and landslides.

The storm’s aftermath was extensively documented by photographers from various locations, revealing images of submerged vehicles, toppled trees, mudslides, and escalating floodwaters. You can view some of these dramatic instances below.
