Colorado is leaving the Pac-12, and the Big 12 is ready to welcome the Buffaloes back to the conference they left a dozen years ago.

Colorado’s board of regents voted 9-0 in a special remote meeting Thursday to approve the conference switch in 2024.

With the landscape of college athletics ever-evolving, does Colorado’s Pac-12 exit open the door for Fresno State?

Much of the college football world is speculating on the Pac-12’s next steps and, yes, Fresno State is in the discussion.

However, the candidates mentioned most often are San Diego State, SMU, and Boise State.

You can read an entire buffet of reports and opinions on the situation at this link.
