The Fresno EOC Health Services, in response to steady numbers of positive cases of sexually transmitted diseases in some parts of Fresno, is providing free rapid testing and treatment at four locations in the city.

Sexually transmitted infections are primarily spread through unprotected sexual contact and can also be spread to unborn babies during pregnancy. Untreated diseases can cause blindness and other health issues.

The services are available to anyone in Fresno County, regardless of age, gender, immigrations status or socio-economic background, the EOC said. The agency is encouraging everyone, even if they are not experiencing symptoms, to get tested so they can remain healthy.

Early detection and treatment are essential, not only for the care of the individual patient, but to prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Privacy and confidentiality will remain top priorities.

Rapid STI testing is completed within 30 minutes, and partner treatment will also be available. The clinics will provide rapid testing, diagnosis, and treatment options.

Clinics in Downtown and West Fresno

Testing will be provided at these four locations:

  • Local Conservation Corps, 1805 California Ave., Fresno; Mondays, 9 to 11 a.m.
  • LGBTQ+ Resource Center, 1252 Fulton St., Fresno; Wednesdays, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • EOC Health Services, 2430 Calaveras St., Fresno; Fridays, 9 to 11 a.m.
  • EOC Community Health Center, 1047 R St., Fresno; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 1 to 4 p.m.
