This Friday Is Set to Have the Most Traffic in History

The American Automobile Association (AAA) forecasts a record-breaking 50.7 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home this Independence Day weekend, surpassing the previous record of 49 million travelers set in 2019. AAA anticipates 43.2 million people will drive to their destinations, and air travel is expected to set a new record with 4.17 million Americans flying to their destinations.
Other transportation methods, such as bus, cruise, or train, will see 3.36 million travelers.
The busiest day on the roads is anticipated to be Friday, June 30, with average travel times up nearly 30% over normal.
