Tulare Man Convicted on 20 Counts of Molesting Two Girls and a Boy

A Tulare County jury has convicted 52-year-old Steven Brian Arey on 20 counts of molesting two girls and a boy.

Arey, 52, of Tulare, was found guilty on Friday. He faces 300 years to life at his scheduled May 26 sentencing.

According to a Tulare County District Attorney’s Office news release:

Eighteen of the sexual assaults occurred between Jan. 1, 1996, and Nov. 1, 2002, against a boy who was between 7 and 13 years old at the time.
One sexual assault was on a girl between Jan. 1, 1996, and Aug. 29, 2000. She was between 10 and 13 at the time.
Another sexual assault was inflicted on a different girl between Jan. 1, 1996, and March 5, 2001. She was between 8 and 13 years old.
All of the crimes occurred in Tulare County.

Deputy DA Chelsea Wayt prosecuted the case, which was investigated by Sgt. Matt Muller of the Tulare Police Department.
