About 300 million people across the world are celebrating Persian New Year — or Nowruz — on Monday, March 20.
The 3,000-year-old festival begins on the first day of the year in the Iranian calendar and also celebrates spring.
Nowruz lasts 13 days. It starts at 2:24 p.m. PDT today.
