Share
Two groups spent millions in key battleground states to support election infrastructure during the midterms. The organizations, which operated in complete secrecy, were the Pro-Democracy Center and Pro-Democracy Campaign. They spent the money on initiatives to help states that faced unprecedented pressure from former President Donald Trump and his allies, who claimed the 202o election was stolen.
The initiatives funded included:
- Support for organizations that were pushing for expansive ballot measures on voting in Arizona and Michigan.
- Uplifting voter outreach programs in Pennsylvania and in Florida.
- Backing campaigns dedicated to expanding access to early voting.
