Not only is there nary a drop of rain in sight for the Valley, but the National Weather Service says afternoon temperatures this week will be 10 to 14 degrees above normal.
In fact, it’s possible that Fresno will set record highs for the date in the days ahead.

“High pressure will remain in control of our local weather today through Sunday,” the Hanford office of the NWS said in its Monday morning forecast discussion.
What Are the Odds of a March Miracle?
After a promising start to the water season, the outlook is for continued drought throughout California.
Jan Null, a forecaster with Golden Gate Weather Services, said he doesn’t have a lot of faith in a so-called March Miracle arriving.
“As far a Miracle March, I would say go to church and pray for a miracle,” Null told sfgate.com. “There’s nothing in the forecast at all. The pattern we have now is exactly the pattern in the forecast two weeks from now. That’s a good indicator of what’s going on.”
