Mark Beneke immigrated to the United States from El Salvador with his family in 2000 hoping to realize the American Dream.

That goal has been realized with Westland Auto Sales at 3910 E Belmont Ave. in Fresno.
In an as-told-to essay published by businessinsider.com, Beneke, 30, describes how he and his brother Eric bought the car lot from their father in 2015, when it grossed $500,000 a year.
Now it’s pulling in $500,000 a month despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
Essential to Success
The key, Beneke says, is treating customers with respect.
“With the buy here, pay here model, our clientele tends to be lower-income or people with poor credit scores that can’t get a loan anywhere else. We treat our customers like people. To us, they are top-tier clients. We care, and they see that.”
