After a one-year, coronavirus-caused hiatus, the Big Fresno Fair will be back in business starting Oct. 6 for a 12-day run.

“We are beyond excited to be able to welcome people back to the fairgrounds this October to enjoy the longstanding tradition of the Big Fresno Fair with all of its attractions,” said deputy manager Stacy Rianda. “Expect many more announcements coming up, including who we will be bringing to the Table Mountain Concert Series in the Paul Paul Theater.”

The 2020 Big Fresno Fair was downsized to a drive-through event due to COVID-19 restrictions.

This year’s fair will have all the good stuff, but you’ll need to wait a few months to sink your teeth into gooey cinnamon rolls, stand at the rail as racehorses thunder down the track to the finish line, or watch the exciting (and sometimes gooey) live births of baby farm animals.

But you’ll need to act now if you want to get first crack at discounted admission tickets, season passes, unlimited carnival ride wristbands, and horse racing tickets that are available only to members of the Big Fresno Fair Club.

Those items go on presale starting at 10 a.m. July 15 and ending at 11:59 p.m. July 31. Club members will receive their presale password via email on July 9 or when they sign up as new members. To sign up, go to www.FresnoFair.com/BFFClub.

Presale Savings

How much money can you save? Unlimited carnival ride wristbands for $28, saving up to $7; $32 season passes, six bucks cheaper than full fare; $10 adult admission and $6 senior, kids, and military admissions ($2 in savings per ticket).

Horse racing fans can buy box seat, Luxury Deck, Turf Club, and reserved seat tickets through the presale. Reserved seats are $6 for a single day or $40 for the entire fair; single day box seats start at $28; Turf Club tables are $40 to $80, and Luxury Deck tables are $150 to $180.

Fair officials are working with the Fresno County Department of Public Health on health and safety guidelines. Masks will not be required for people outdoors but will be required indoors for people who are not vaccinated. But health officials are recommending masking for all individuals in crowded indoor settings where others might not be masked or vaccinated.

The Big Fresno Fair, founded in 1884, is the fourth largest in California and attracts more than 600,000 attendees.
