Visalia Times Delta
Tulare County has received a small number of COVID-19 vaccines compared to its overall population.
The shortage concerns teachers who have been waiting for their shot. Some Visalia Unified School District teachers were dismayed when they heard district office employees received vaccines before them. The teachers also worried they weren’t being prioritized by their district.
The district’s spokesperson confirmed some office staffers received vaccines.
“On the first day of administering vaccinations, a few employees at the district office received vaccines without an appointment when off-site employees didn’t show up for their scheduled appointments,” Kim Batty said.
