The Visalia Unified School District has quarantined two of its classrooms after reopening elementary schools this week.
The quarantine affects 28 students in classes at Mineral King and Denton elementary schools, according to VUSD’s communications office.
“Families and staff at two of our elementary sites, Mineral King and Denton Elementary, have received a general notice through email that a COVID-19 positive individual was identified on campus,” VUSD shared in a statement.
Other classrooms at the two schools are expected to remain open, according to the district’s statement.
