An asteroid roughly the size of a “small house” came uncomfortably close to Earth, missing our planet by nearly 250 miles. Deemed “2020 VT4,” the asteroid has made history as coming the closest to Earth without hitting it.
According to Universe Today, the asteroid was about 16 to 32 feet across, the article equating the object to being about the same size as a modest abode. Other sources such as Fox News have drawn comparisons between the extraterrestrial rock’s size and a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
