A snowplow driver working near Yosemite turned up the bodies of two people whose deaths are being investigated as a double homicide, according to officials in Mono County.
The Caltrans snowplow driver found two bodies along the side of the road on Highway 395 north of Bridgeport before dawn on Monday, authorities said. Officers from the California Highway Patrol and the Mono County Sheriff’s Office were called in to investigate.
“It was determined that the man and woman had been murdered,” said a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, which has taken the lead in the homicide investigation.
