Prominent Fresno businessman Todd Eric Mumma, 57, was charged Thursday with possessing child pornography, sexual exploitation of a child, and having an illegal assault weapon.
The charges against Mumma, who owns Select Business Systems, were announced by the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office in a news release.
If convicted on all charges, Mumma faces up to four years, eight months in state prison.
Mumma is well-known for racing stock cars at Madera Speedway and other California tracks.
Detectives Found Child Porn, Hidden Cameras at House
Sheriff’s detectives arrested Mumma in May after the execution of a search warrant at his 4,000-square foot, $1.5 million dollar home in the 11000 block of Glen Castle Way in Fresno.
At the home, detectives collected numerous cameras and electronic storage devices containing dozens of pornographic images of children, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said. Detectives also discovered that Mumma had installed hidden cameras in bedrooms and bathrooms throughout his house.
Mumma Bailed Out of Jail
After his arrest, Mumma was released from custody after posting $40,000 bail.
He is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, July 14.
