Are you ready for a cooldown?
After back-to-back days with 105-degree temperatures, Fresno is expected to drop to an afternoon high of 96 degrees Friday.
And the National Weather Service Hanford forecast calls for high temperatures in the 80s Saturday through Tuesday, with lows in the 60s.
However, the cooler weather will be accompanied by strong wind gusts on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley. A Wind Advisory will begin at 1 p.m. Friday and is expected to continue until 4 a.m. Saturday.
The NWS Hanford forecast also says there is a possibility of afternoon thunderstorms in the southern Sierra.
Looking ahead to Saturday, isolated showers could fall on the northern Valley.
