Small businesses in the city of Fresno needing masks for employees and customers can get them free, Fresno Mayor Lee Brand said Tuesday morning.
“It’s important for the city to step up and donate masks to the businesses most impacted by this pandemic so our citizens stay healthy and our economy can get moving again.” — Fresno Mayor Lee Brand
The city is providing 10,000 disposable surgical masks for small businesses to give to customers to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
In addition, 4,000 free cloth masks for employees will be distributed later this week.
How to Arrange for Delivery of Free Masks
Small business owners or managers can contact the city’s code enforcement office at (559) 621-8400 to arrange a delivery time. The masks come in packs of 25.
“We recognize that many small businesses want to re-open but are unable to provide facial coverings that are essential for everyone’s health and safety,” Brand said. “Masks and other personal protective equipment are an important part of managing the spread of COVID-19, so it’s important for the city to step up and donate masks to the businesses most impacted by this pandemic so our citizens stay healthy and our economy can get moving again.”
