Missing a fancy watch or painting?
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office may know where it is.
Sheriff’s detectives discovered $1 million in stolen property at two storage units on Thursday. Now, the department is asking the public, are these stolen items yours?
Items recovered include designer purses, shoes and jewelry. Sheriff’s detectives believe the items were taken during residential and commercial burglaries and stashed in multiple units at the storage facilities.
No Arrests Made
Despite the tip that led to the discovery of the stolen goods, no arrests have been made. Detectives are unsure how much, if any, of the stolen items are from Fresno County.
Investigators are keeping the location of the storage units confidential to protect the investigation.
Detectives are checking if any previously filed crime reports mention the found goods. They are reaching out to other area law enforcement agencies to do the same.
Making a Claim
The department urges crime victims who believe any of the items may be theirs to contact them with serial numbers, or a crime report or case number.
Contact Det. Austin Herion via email at austin.herion@fresnosheriff.org.
Already, a number individuals have reached out to the department hoping to reclaim property.
