Most people around the world will never experience the types of freedom Americans are blessed with, says GV Wire producer Jamie Ouverson.
From Rohingya Muslims in Southeast Asia to Palestinians in the Middle East, those who are born into less fortunate circumstances struggle to have their voices heard as they seek out the safety, security, and opportunities often taken for granted in the United States.
In the video essay above, Ouverson argues that those who are empowered have an obligation to give voice to those across the world who are routinely, and often violently, silenced.
