Mike Osegueda has gained popularity for trading cards with baseball legends on his Yahoo! Sports show “Old Baseball Cards,” but soon Mike Oz will find himself on the other side of the deal. The writer and host will have his own card in the 2019 Topps Allen and Ginter baseball card set.
It was something that he never saw coming; however, one of his friends predicted it would happen when he started his show.
“One of my best friends, Ben Aguirre Jr. … he was actually the one a long time ago who said, ‘Man, I wonder if you do this long enough, will you get an Allen and Ginter card?’” Oz said during a recent phone interview. “I didn’t even know what that was. I was pretty disconnected from the modern world of baseball cards.”
