Vice President Mike Pence will hold a second event during his Central Valley stop next Wednesday.
According to a post on the America First Policies website, the nonprofit that promotes traditional conservative positions will host an event titled “USMCA: A Better Deal for American Workers.”
It takes place at Doug and Julie Freitas & Sons Farms in Lemoore starting at 1:30 p.m. The event can accommodate up to 500 attendees. It is expected to be held outdoors in a hay barn.

Trade Deal with Canada, Mexico Is the Topic

USMCA is the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, a trade deal being worked out by the three nations as a successor to the 1990s-era NAFTA trade deal. Last week, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue held a town hall in Lemoore about the same topic.
Pence will also be at a fundraiser in Coalinga presumably before the Lemoore event. That one is hosted by farmers and Republican donors John and Carole Harris. Organizers have not released a time for that event.

America First Policies

On its website, America First Policies lists its top issues as the USMCA trade deal, Second Amendment and pro-Israel relations as some of its top issues. The website does not say who is behind the group.
According to media reports, former Donald Trump campaign aides and advisors founded the group. They include Brad Parscale, Trump’s 2016 digital and data director and current campaign manager, and Nicky Ayers, Pence’s former chief of staff.
Rick Gates, Trump’s deputy campaign manager who later was convicted of conspiracy in the special counsel’s investigation of the president, also helped create the group.
The group has raised at least $75 million in political donations since 2016 through its nonprofit and Super PAC entities.
The Event
Free tickets for the event can be obtained by clicking here. While the event starts at 1:30 p.m., doors open at 11:30 a.m. and it is first come, first serve.
Pence abruptly canceled a planned trip to New Hampshire this week, but the White House and his office refused to say why.
