1 Suspect Killed, 1 Wounded in Tulare County Shooting

Tulare County and city of Delano law enforcement officers fatally shot a man and wounded a woman near Delano while seeking a suspect in a drive-by shooting Friday.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office says deputies spotted the suspect at a motel in the Richgrove area around 2 a.m., and Delano police responded to assist.
The office says in a social media post that during the attempt to contact the suspect a Delano officer and a sheriff’s deputy fired their weapons.

Man Dies at Hospital, Woman Has Surgery

The man died at a hospital and at last word the woman was in surgery. Neither was immediately identified.
Sheriff Mike Boudreaux requested that the Porterville Police Department handle the officer-involved-shooting investigation.
