Fresno State’s Craig School of Business graduate program is among the best on-campus MBA programs in the country, according to The Princeton Review.

Fresno State was among 252 schools included in the 2019 list of the Best Business Schools.

“We are pleased to have our MBA program ranked as one of 252 outstanding on-campus MBA programs The Princeton Review selected this year,” said MBA Director Harry Xia.

“Our inclusion is strong evidence that we are focusing on the right things, particularly our MBA students’ satisfaction in the key rating categories of academic experience, admissions selectivity, career, professors’ effectiveness, and accessibility.”

The New York-based education services company selected the schools using a combination of factors, including institutional and student survey data.

Data used includes career outcomes, admissions selectivity, and academic rigor, among others.

Craig School of Business

The Craig School of Business was established in 1928, when it was known as the Department of Commerce. Its graduate program offers degrees in accounting, entrepreneurship, human resources, finance, international business, leadership/management, and marketing.

“Our inclusion is strong evidence that we are focusing on the right things, particularly our MBA students’ satisfaction in the key rating categories of academic experience, admissions selectivity, career, professors’ effectiveness and accessibility.” — Harry Xia MBA Director of Craig School of Business

It is the first CSU business school to receive a naming endowment, a $10 million pledge from Sid and Jenny Craig.

The Princeton Review

Known for its college rankings in dozens of categories based on students’ ratings of their colleges, The Princeton Review tallies its 19 categories of best business schools based largely on data from student surveys.

The Princeton Review does not rank the schools in the book on a single hierarchical list or name one business school best overall. The company is not affiliated with Princeton University, and it is not a magazine.

The Princeton Review’s tallies for its on-campus MBA ranking lists for 2019 factored in data from its surveys of business school students during the 2017-18, 2016-17, and 2015-16 school years.

The survey asks students about their school’s academics, student body, and campus life, and their career plans. The Princeton Review collected all institutional data it used to tally the ranking lists in 2017-18.
