President Trump took time from attacking Rep. Adam Schiff and making immigration reform demands Monday morning to praise Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Tulare.
Nunes is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, whose Republican members released a four-page memo outlining alleged mistakes in the FBI’s application for FISA warrants to monitor former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.
The memo was based on confidential information provided to the committee by the FBI. The committee released it publicly over the vehement objections of FBI Director Christopher Wray.
President Trump, who approved the release of the controversial memo, now is standing shoulder to shoulder with Nunes, who has become a political bull’s-eye for Democrats.

Andrew Janz, a Fresno County prosecutor who is one of three Democrats challenging Nunes for reelection, responded with this tweet later Monday morning.
