You may ask, “What is cupping?”
I found out while talking with the owner of Sensoma Body Wellness, Julie Kent, a certified massage therapist who is very passionate about her work.
Julie discovered cupping during the Olympics when swimmer Michael Phelps and gymnast Alex Naddour had large red dots all over their bodies.
Julie explained that cupping is a very relaxing experience that also can treat multiple ailments of the body. Cupping is described as a gentle, non-invasive technique that achieves powerful results in cellulite reduction, joint mobilization, lymph drainage, scar reduction, and other conditions.
Health & Wellness Fair: Get Fit & Eat Smarter
Julie’s work will be featured at the Granville Homes Health and Wellness Fair on Saturday, Jan. 26, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Copper River Ranch models center, 1607 E Benvenuto Dr, Fresno.
You will be able to catch a glimpse of the eastern medicine practice in action — and even have the option to experience it yourself.
In addition, other local business owners will be stationed in each model providing a quick presentation on how to eat healthier in the new year and what exercises to do to stay fit.
