“Hamilton” is coming to Fresno. The stage show and cultural phenomenon will be part of Broadway in Fresno’s 2020-21 season, it was announced Wednesday.

The rap musical will be staged at Saroyan Theatre. Ticket prices or dates were not announced. Broadway in Fresno said subscribers will have the first shot at tickets when they subscribe to the 2020-21 season.

The national tour of the Broadway hit has been making the rounds since 2017. “Hamilton,” created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, debuted in New York in 2015. It set a record for Tony nominations with 16.

The show revolves around the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, who was killed in a duel with Aaron Burr. Miranda originally played the lead role.

Broadway in Fresno also announced Wednesday its 2019-20 lineup, which features Blue Man Group, “Finding Neverland,” “Chicago,” “Les Miserables” and “Waitress.”
