Political activist Linda Sarsour will be the keynote speaker at the Central California Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ third annual banquet on Sunday.
Sarsour, a Muslim of Palestinian descent, was co-chair of the 2017 Women’s March and was among the Women’s March co-chairs profiled in Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” that year.
The banquet topic will be “Building Power, Overcoming Injustice.”
Tickets Still Available
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students. Free child care will be provided, but RSVP is required prior to the banquet.
The banquet will be from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday and will be at the Golden Palace, 2625 W. Vassar Ave., Fresno. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Sukaina Hussain, outreach director for CAIR-Central California in Fresno, said about 200 people typically attend the event.
