“These organizations serve our community every day, and it is so inspirational to see how each of them has stepped up, without hesitation, to meet the additional challenges brought on by COVID-19.” — Darius Assemi, Granville Homes President/CEO

Fresno-based AMOR is one of the three nonprofit beneficiaries of the Granville Homes Central Valley COVID-19 Relief Initiative, and it was tasked with identifying medical organizations in need of supplies and obtaining that equipment for them.

Granville Homes Supports Nonprofits During Pandemic

Granville Homes is donating $5,000 for every home sale that closes through May 31. New homeowners can designate which nonprofit they want to support. To date, more than $110,000 has been donated.

The other two nonprofit recipients are the Central California Blood Bank and the Marjaree Mason Center.

“The Granville Homes Central Valley COVID-19 Relief Initiative is our way of supporting some of the amazing nonprofits who are bringing hope to our neighbors in need,” said Granville Homes President and CEO  Darius Assemi, who is also the publisher of GV Wire.

“These organizations serve our community every day, and it is so inspirational to see how each of them has stepped up, without hesitation, to meet the additional challenges brought on by COVID-19.”

As a beneficiary of the relief initiative, AMOR has been able to procure personal protective equipment for the front line medical community in Fresno County. On Wednesday, CalVet Veterans Home, The Vineyards – California Armenian Home, and Sierra Vista Healthcare Center each received a month’s worth of PPE.

“AMOR is humbled by the opportunity to support the many essential healthcare workers with the personal protective equipment they need to stay safe.” — Davena Witcher, executive director, AMOR

“As a community, we are indebted to the healthcare workers on the front lines of this pandemic,” said Davena Witcher, executive director of AMOR. “AMOR is humbled by the opportunity to support the many essential healthcare workers with the personal protective equipment they need to stay safe. We are honored and grateful to be a part of Granville’s commitment to support the Central Valley through these unprecedented times.”

AMOR is working with organizations across the Valley to continue to identify their needs and distribute resources as quickly as possible.

Last week, AMOR donated nearly 5,000 masks, 6,000 gloves, 100 protective goggles, and 4 gallons of sanitizing gel to Interim Healthcare of Central Valley and Valley Regional Home Health.
