Fresno County Public Health says there were 222 total cases in the county through Monday. Fourteen patients are in intensive care. Another 50 patients are suspected of having COVID-19 but those results are pending.
Dr. Rais Vohra, the public health department’s interim health officer, during a Monday teleconference with reporters said, “What I can tell you is that we do seem to be lagging behind some of the numbers, and trends that have been seen in the big cities to the north and south of us. We feel like that that will continue with things like the surge and the peak.”
