Valley boxer Richard Torrez Jr. will fight for a gold medal on Saturday at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Torrez defeated Kazakhstan’s Kamshybek Kunkabayev on Wednesday by technical knockout in the third round, advancing him to the super heavyweight gold medal match.
The 22-year-old from Tulare will represent Team USA against Uzbekistan’s Bakhodir Jalolov on Saturday at 11:15 p.m. Pacific time. The bout will air live on NBC’s CNBC cable channel and via online streaming at NBCOlympics.com and through the NBC Sports mobile app.
It will also be streamed live on YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV. Free or reduced price trial subscriptions are available for some services.
