During the Jan. 24 installment of Wired Wednesday, GV Wire senior reporter David Taub talks to Fox26 “Great Day” anchor Jim De La Vega about a new app that was developed by the Tulare County Office of Education and Group 22 (a software development company) that made its way to the Assembly floor under AB 960.

The bill received a 66-0 vote and has been moved onto the state Senate Rules Committee for consideration. AB 960 encourages public and charter schools to install app-based or web-based security systems to protect the lives of California’s students and staff in the event of an active shooter incident or natural disaster.
