It’s hard to imagine better weather for Christmas Day than what’s in the forecast.
According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, Sunday will be partly sunny, with a high near 61 degrees. If there’s any wind, it won’t be more than 5 mph.
Until then, the Fresno area will see patchy morning fog with the low and high temperatures warming a little each day.
Rain Resumes Early Next Week
However, there’s a possibility of rain beginning Monday night followed by a 60% chance of rain Tuesday totaling between a half and three-quarters of an inch.
Meanwhile, The Weather Channel’s 10-day forecast indicates about a 50% chance of showers daily beginning Wednesday and into early January.
NWS records show that Fresno has received 3.25 inches of rain since Oct. 1, which is 132% of “normal” through today.
The current snow depth at Tamarack Summit is 34.2 inches. The snowpack on Tioga Pass measures 45.8 inches. You can view Sierra snow totals at this link.
