Harris Ranch has again cracked the list of top independent restaurants in the United States.

The trade publication Restaurant Business ranked the sprawling resort and eatery on Fresno County’s west side at No. 33 in its 2022 Top 100 Independents listing.

According to Restaurant Business, Coalinga-based Harris Ranch totaled nearly $19 million in meals while serving 641,337 customers last year. That worked out to an average of $29 a check. The restaurant seats up to 480 diners at a time.

The nation’s highest-grossing independent restaurant was Miami’s Komodo, which had $41 million in sales while serving 285,000 customers.

The publication didn’t publish a Top 100 in 2021 because of the pandemic.

However, Harris Ranch came in at 45th in 2019 and 47th in 2020.
