A Fresno police officer and his family are the big winners in this year’s Granville Home of Hope fundraiser. A raffle ticket Xao Herr purchased was drawn Wednesday night, making him the owner of a brand new 2,032-square-foot Pasatiempo Granville home packed with cutting-edge features and design elements.

This drawing, broadcast live on KSEE 24, marked the culmination of the 17th Granville Home of Hope campaign, which this year raised a record $1 million for local charities.

“I would like to offer a very heartfelt and warm thank you to everybody who purchased a Granville Home of Hope ticket this year,” said Granville Homes President and CEO Darius Assemi, who is the publisher of GV Wire. “The true test of our community is how we come together in times of hardship and this year proved that our community has never been stronger.”

“To our trade partners who donated their labor and materials to help build the home, to our community partners and tireless staff, and finally to our homeowners without whom we wouldn’t be here today, thank you for making this year’s Granville Home of Hope a resounding success in helping raise one million dollars for 12 local nonprofits.”

The Granville Home of Hope has now raised more than $8.4 million for local nonprofits since 2006, including $800,000 in 2021. One hundred percent of this year’s proceeds benefit:

  • Breaking the Chains
  • Central California Food Bank
  • Art of Life Cancer Foundation
  • Fresno Police Chaplaincy
  • Parents and Addicts In Need
  • Hinds Hospice
  • Foundations for Sanger, Clovis, and Central unified school districts
  • CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties
  • Angels of Grace Foster Family Agency
  • Fresno Mission.

Fresno Lexus was again a partner in the event, donating a two-year lease on a 2022 Lexus NX that was raffled off on Wednesday, Sept. 14 during the KSEE24 LIVE telethon.

Local dignitaries and supporters celebrate a record-setting $1 million raised in this year’s Granville Home of Hope campaign supporting 12 area nonprofits. (Granville Homes)
