Get ready for a wild ride on the Valley’s heat roller-coaster Wednesday through the Memorial Day weekend.
The forecast from the National Weather Service in Hanford calls for record-breaking temperatures for the date in Fresno (103 degrees), Hanford (104), and Madera (103) on Wednesday.

Thursday is also expected to bring afternoon highs of about 100 degrees followed by a cooldown starting Friday. Memorial Day weekend temperatures are expected to be perfect for cook-outs and family get-togethers, ranging from the mid-to-high 80s.
Beginning next Tuesday (May 31), afternoon highs will return to the low 90s, weather officials said.
