Fresno police issued dozens of citations and made multiple arrests during an enforcement operation targeting illegal street racing and reckless driving Sunday.
The Fresno Police Department’s Motors Unit responded after receiving reports of vehicles racing, speeding, and revving engines.
Officers conducted multiple traffic stops on vehicles leaving the area and also responded to reports of reckless driving in residential neighborhoods throughout the city.
During the operation, police issued 60 citations, including eight misdemeanor citations. Officers also towed 13 vehicles, including five that were impounded for 30 days.
Police said two people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
