A long-shot Libertarian Senate candidate in Montana vowed to introduce legislation that would draft Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham into any military conflict he publicly supports if elected, The Hill reported.

“I’m running for U.S. Senate. If elected, the first bill I introduce will draft Lindsey Graham into any conflict he publicly supports while in office,” Tom Jandron wrote Wednesday on the social platform X. Jandron, a retired Montana National Guard member and Afghanistan veteran, is running to replace Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), who recently announced his retirement just before the filing deadline.

Jandron’s comments follow Graham’s past support for U.S. military operations against Iran, including joint strikes with Israel in February. Graham has encouraged targeting Kharg Island, a major Iranian oil hub, though he expressed support Thursday for diplomacy to limit Iran’s missile program and nuclear development.

Jandron is one of two Libertarians in Montana’s June 2 primary, facing multiple Republican and Democratic opponents in the midterm election.
