Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Raisin City School District employee on Thursday in connection with alleged crimes involving a child, authorities said.
Carlos Rivas, 49, of Kerman, was booked into jail on two felony charges: annoying a child and lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14.
His bail was set at $60,000, and he has since posted bond and been released from custody.
Rivas was employed at the Raisin City School District Office as a food service coordinator and was also involved in coaching sports. Following his arrest, the school district placed him on administrative leave.
Deputies said they do not have information indicating additional victims at this time, but the investigation remains ongoing.
