A Chowchilla man was arrested after police responded to reports of suspicious activity in a residential neighborhood, authorities said on Sunday.
Officers with the Chowchilla Police Department were called to the 300 block of South 8th Street, where community members reported suspicious behavior. With prior knowledge of a probationer living at the location, night shift officers conducted a probation check at the residence, the department said.
During the contact, officers arrested Michael Jimenez of Chowchilla on suspicion of possession with intent to sell and possession of paraphernalia.
Police credited the community’s vigilance for helping prompt the response and encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity.
