Count influential conservative broadcaster Joe Rogan among the many Americans who can’t figure out why President Donald Trump ordered the U.S. to team with Israel for a war on Iran.

During his podcast Tuesday, Rogan said that massive aerial attack on Iran seems “so insane based on what (Trump) ran on,” and it just “doesn’t make any sense.”

Rogan’s podcast has about 11 million listeners.

“I mean, this is why a lot of people feel betrayed, right?,” Rogan said. “He ran on no more wars and these stupid, senseless wars, and then we have one that we can’t even really clearly define why we did it.”

At one point, Rogan answered his own question about President Trump’s motives for attacking Iran, a decision that produced the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the naming of his hardliner son Mojtaba Khamenei as the country’s supreme leader.

“Clearly Israel wanted this,” Rogan said.
