The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has announced scheduled closures and traffic controls for landscaping and pavement repairs in the Fresno area next week.

On Monday, the westbound Highway 180 Park and Ride at McCall Avenue will be closed for landscaping operations from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

On Tuesday, Highway 180 will be under two-way traffic control between the Friant Canal and Alta Avenue for pavement repairs, also from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

The two-way traffic control on Highway 180 will continue Wednesday and Thursday from 8:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. During these days, the control area will be located between just east of Frankwood Avenue and just east of the Friant Canal for further pavement repairs.

Caltrans reminds commuters to obey flagging personnel and pay close attention to road construction vehicles and workers.

The scheduled operations are weather permitting. Officials noted that closures may be extended each day if necessary due to weather delays or other uncontrollable events.

Maintenance workers advise drivers to allow for additional travel time, drive with extra care, and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
