The annual Support Blue Run will return to Fresno’s Woodward Park on Saturday, offering community members a chance to participate in a 10K run, 5K run, 2-mile walk, or a virtual option.
The event supports the various missions of the Fresno Police and Fire Chaplaincy.
Registration for all events costs $67, which includes a $7 fee. A discounted rate of $40.13 is available for participants ages 0–9 registering for the 5K or 2-mile walk. The 10K run begins at 9:00 a.m. PST, followed by the 5K at 9:05 a.m. and the 2-mile walk at 9:10 a.m. Registration closes Saturday at 11:59 p.m. PST.
The expo and packet pickup will be held Friday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Peoples Church, 7172 N. Cedar Ave. in Fresno. Participants can pick up race materials, visit sponsor booths, purchase Support Blue Run merchandise, and enter a giveaway for a chance to win Disneyland park hopper tickets by making a donation.
Organizers said that you must bring the QR code from your email, digital or printed, to pick up your packet. Registrants can pick up packets for family or friends if they have their full name and QR code.
Running for More Than a Race
Organizers describe the event as more than a race, emphasizing its role in strengthening community support for first responders and funding chaplaincy programs that provide spiritual and emotional assistance during crises. Proceeds help chaplains respond to hospital visits, death notifications, and critical incidents affecting officers, firefighters, and families.
The Support Blue Run also aims to foster positive engagement between law enforcement and the community through family-friendly activities, vendor booths, and first responder displays.
Participants receive finisher medals and join a broader effort to show visible support for public safety personnel.
