A substitute maintenance worker at Selma Unified School District has been arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material, authorities said.

Troy DeCarlo, 24, of Fresno was booked into the Fresno County Jail following his arrest at the Selma Unified School District’s Transportation Yard, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Central California Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations arrested DeCarlo after following up on a CyberTip. His electronic devices were seized for further analysis.

DeCarlo had been working as a substitute maintenance worker and groundskeeper for the Selma Unified School District since December 2025. He worked under the supervision of at least one other employee at all times and had limited contact with students, authorities said.
